Our lessons location and policy
Micro-group classes are held in our school facility 46 rue Saint Antoine, 75004, Paris. When our teachers give lessons at external locations around Paris they usually choose sites that are free to access (markets, museums, exhibitions, shops, cafes and gardens). You will be asked to pay any additional expenses such as coffee or museum entrance fees. Students’ expenses for the teacher should rarely exceed more than €5 for a beverage of the entry price of a site.
Micro-group classes run Mondays through Friday’s, every week of the year including public holidays and vacations periods. If you are unable to make a day in a week, then you may add that day onto the end of your course.
If you are taking private lessons you can schedule your lessons directly with your teacher. If you need to reschedule, it’s possible to do so without charge if you notify us or your teacher within 24hrs of the planned start time. You will be charged if the lesson is cancelled less than 24 hours in advance.
If we cannot suitably match you within a Micro-group class (where students have too differing levels of French), then your classes will be upgraded to 60 minute, individual 1 on 1 lessons Mondays through Fridays or you will be offered a full refund
Leaving Paris If you leave Paris before you’ve finished all your lessons, you can use them at another time within 12 months of your first lesson. Alternatively, you can take them online, via our Virtual Classroom or transfer them to a friend, colleague or family member.
Punctuality If your teacher is delayed by public transport and arrives late for a lesson, the time lost will be added to the end of the lesson or to the following lesson. Our teachers will wait for you for 20 minutes from the scheduled start time. If you haven’t arrived within this time, the lesson will be cancelled and unfortunately cannot be refunded.
We ask you to pay 50% of the lesson fee when you book (before starting the lessons) and the remainder before the 4th lesson. If you’ve booked less than 5 classes, we’ll ask you to pay in full when you book.
Once you’ve made the deposit, we’ll reserve your teacher for you and you’ll receive a confirmation email. We’ll then get in touch very quickly to introduce you to your teacher and confirm your lesson schedule and location.
For your information, along with all class, material support, refreshments (mineral water, juice…), tea, coffee, fruit, fresh backed viennoiserie (French pastries), biscuits and other treats are provided daily, free of charge, to keep you alert and on the ball during your classes.
The French As You Like It TEAM will make sure you will feel comfortable and delighted about your French classes. If you have specific needs, please let us know and we will do our best to meet your requirements.
