Our evening courses

Three evening groups, every level covered

Every class runs 7:00–8:30pm (1.5 hours a week) in small groups of never more than 8 students. Tuesdays (A0/A1/A2), Wednesdays (A2/B1) and Thursdays (conversation, B1/B2). Choose the group that matches your level, then request a personalised quote.

Beginner evening French class at FAYLI in the Marais, Paris

Tuesday — evening classes for beginners (A0/A1)

For complete and advancing beginners who want to build everyday French from the ground up. In a relaxed after-work group, you'll gain the vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation to handle real Parisian life with confidence.

Classes start on Tuesday.

Who it’s for: total beginners (A0) and advanced beginners (A1) starting French or rebuilding it from the basics.

  • When: Tuesdays, 7:00–8:30pm — 1.5 hours a week.
  • Group size: never more than 8 students (usually 5–6) for real speaking time.
  • You’ll work on: speaking for daily life in Paris, building your first vocabulary, laying down solid grammar and refining pronunciation.
  • Weekly homework to consolidate each lesson between classes.

Choose a 6-week package (valid 3 months) or a 12-week package (valid 6 months) from your first class.

Elementary evening French class in a small group at FAYLI, Paris

Tuesday — evening classes for elementary level (A2)

For A2 learners who already have the basics and want to use them with ease. The same relaxed Tuesday-evening group, one level up — widen your vocabulary, tighten your grammar and speak for longer without hesitating.

Classes start on Tuesday.

  • When: Tuesdays, 7:00–8:30pm — 1.5 hours a week.

  • You’ll work on: holding longer conversations, the past and future tenses, a wider everyday vocabulary and clearer pronunciation.
  • Weekly homework to consolidate each lesson between classes.

Wednesday — evening classes for intermediate levels (A2/B1)

  • Engaging material: discussions, articles and videos to boost fluency, with weekly homework.

Thursday — evening French conversation class (B1/B2)

For B1/B2 learners who want to speak, and speak well. Each week centres on a lively topic — often drawn from current events — so you can express opinions, debate complex ideas and understand different points of view in fluent French.

Classes start on Thursday.

Who it’s for: intermediate to upper-intermediate learners (B1/B2) who want to sharpen spoken fluency and listening in a supportive group.

  • When: Thursdays, 7:00–8:30pm — 1.5 hours a week.
  • Group size: deliberately small (max 8) so everyone gets ample speaking time.
  • How it works: useful vocabulary is shared beforehand, then you discuss the week’s topic, express opinions and explore different viewpoints.
  • You’ll gain: confidence in conversation, better listening and the ability to handle more complex subjects.

Are conversation classes suitable for all levels?

Thursday conversation classes are for B1/B2 students who want to focus on fluency and natural expression. Below that level, start with the Tuesday (A0/A1/A2) or Wednesday (A2/B1) group.

Is it possible to combine evening classes with private lessons?
