About Our Teachers
Each of our teachers holds a Master's degree in teaching French as a foreign language. All Parisians, they don’t just teach you French, but put the language in context by giving you valuable insight into Parisian life and culture.
Passionate about teaching and languages she holds a Master’s degree in sciences of education and a Master’s degree in French as a foreign language.
She first graduated in Anthropology and lived in England, Italy, Lebanon, United Arab Emirates and Peru which allows her to speak English, Spanish and Italian fluently.
Her teaching approach is inspired by the Montessori pedagogy, « learning by doing » is her motto. Creative writing, drawing and charades are some of her tools to ensure progress and a positive atmosphere in the class.
Anne has a Master’s degree teaching French as a foreign language and a PGCE for secondary schools from Lancaster University (UK). After several years spent abroad teaching French language, French cinema and French culture at university in the USA and secondary schools in the UK, she came back to France and moved from North of France to Paris. She enjoys travelling and learning about different cultures and languages and, even more, sharing her passion of the French language and the quirks of the French culture with all kind of public, from beginner to advanced level, through cultural material, oral interaction and humor. Her teaching is adapted to your way of learning and your goals.
Blandine has a Bachelor degree in Economics and Social Administration and a Master’s in teaching French as a foreign language. She teaches with a communicative approach and likes to introduce French language and culture through varied and interactive resources. Thanks to her prior professional experience (in human resources and pedagogic communication) she knows the business world and the realities and requirements of it, which is a real asset to teach in a professional environment. She integrates work on self-confidence and the enhancement of each learner’s capacities in her teaching method.
Graduated with a Master in French linguistics at the Sorbonne, Camille started teaching in South Africa where she taught in Capetown. French teacher at FAYLI sinceshe came back, this young woman passionate about teaching and foreign cultures identifies the needs of her students and adapts her classes to each of them.
Curious and good listener, she makes her lessons exciting using engaging written and online supports. She is familiar with state exams like the DELF-DALF which enables her to prepare her students for these tests.
Passionate about languages in general, Clarisse naturally became a French teacher. After a Master in teaching French as a foreign language at the Sorbonne in 2008, she built a strong experience with a wide variety of students of different origins and cultures. The discovery and the learning process of a new language is truly for her a personal, cultural and of course linguistic journey, which she tries to make as lively and enriching as possible.
Clemence has a Bachelor Degree in French culture and heritage, and a double Masters in teaching French as a foreign language.
Passionate about Paris, travel, French culture and gastronomy, she likes to bring a lot of cultural references during her lessons.
She teaches French with a communicative approach through the news, today’s media and games.
After a few months teaching for Alliance Française in Italy, she came back to Paris to be close to many different cultures.
After 25 years working in different companies, she decided to give and help other people to learn and master her mother tongue and became a French teacher. She is passionate about sharing words through literature and conversation.
She loves seeing the joy her students have when they are able to communicate with other francophones and feeling like they are a little bit French too !
With a Master’s degree in teaching French as a foreign language, Georges has taught French for 18 years in private and public schools in Brazil where he lived for 20 years. He ran his own language school there before going back to teaching upon his return to Paris in 2018.
Meticulous and structured, he teaches to a wide range of adult learners. His approach is entirely focused on the student(s)’s needs. Each session is followed by a thorough educational feedback.
He is also a Portuguese to French translator. Training 6 days a week, Georges is a marathon runner.
Graduated in Economy and Sociology in France and in Germany, Hélène began to teach French as Foreign Language in Germany in 1998. She worked in different Instituts Français in Germany and at the university of Hamburg. With a long experience abroad and her empathy, she can adapt quickly her pedagogy with your needs: private or professional. With her experience in France as creator of pedagogical kits for young people, she can pass her love for the French language and culture with fun.
Hélène is also journalist and writer.
Permanent teacher at French As You Like It and graduated from a Master’s in French as a foreign language and literature, Idelette has more than 20 years of teaching French, always with the same enthusiasm and dedication.
She worked at Alliance Française, and also teaches at the Paris Dauphine University.
She enjoys teaching all kind of public: expatriates, diplomats, refugees, children, from beginner to advanced level.
In love with French culture, gastronomy and passionate of intercultural relationships, Idelette will take it at heart to share with you the French touch!
With a Master’s in French as a foreign language from the Sorbonne, Imane taught French for 8 years in Morocco where she grew up. She came to France in 2018 to specialize in new technologies and software development.
She teaches children through games and adults through real life situations, focusing on the oral skills and phonetics.
She loves music, singing and writing.
